Baltic Tools provides a small collection of browser-based utilities. Here's how the site is designed to handle your data.
Files and text
Image conversion, checksums, JSON formatting, and text encoding take place in your browser. The application does not send selected files or input text to our server. Results are generated locally and remain on your device unless you choose to copy or download them.
Website requests
Your browser requests the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and icon files needed to display the site. Like other websites, the hosting server may record routine technical information, such as request time, IP address, and requested URL, depending on server logging settings. No advertising or third-party analytics scripts are included.
Accounts and cookies
The tools do not require an account. The website's current implementation does not set application cookies or use local storage to save files or text.
Tool limitations
- Image conversion works with PNG, JPEG, and WebP supported by your browser. Animated images are not preserved as animations.
- Resizing is limited by the browser's available memory and canvas support. Very large images may fail on older devices.
- File SHA-256 computation is limited to files of up to 100 MB to reduce browser memory usage.
- Outputs are provided without a warranty of suitability for a specific purpose. For critical files, always retain the original and independently verify results.
Changes
This page reflects the current browser-based version of Baltic Tools. If the product adds server-side processing in the future, the privacy description should be updated before release.
